Interim Managers used to cut costs
UK manufacturers are turning to interim management providers to help them free up cash and improve liquidity during the current recession, according to Aster Interim.
As many manufacturers reduce staffing levels to cut costs, more are using interim managers to make their business processes leaner, according to the company.
Many companies have asked their staff to accept shorter working hours, pay cuts and even redundancy, evidence that UK manufacturers are really suffering in one of the worst recessions, says Aster.
Interim managers with experience in change management, business turnaround and using continuous improvement techniques are finding their services in demand.
The company says that the recession has put interim managers with these management skills to the forefront of the recruitment sector.
This news comes as a report by Alium Partners found that just under a third of interim HR managers believe the last organisation they worked for did not have the management skills necessary to get them through recession.
